Eligibility Criteria for Post-Doctoral Programs Admission
Ph.D. holders in relevant academic disciplines
All the candidates who have submitted their Ph.D. thesis may apply for the same, but their registration will be confirmed after the award of the Ph.D. Degree
Selection Process
The candidate may apply directly through the KIET admission portal. Upon application, University will conduct the interview process and allot a suitable supervisor based on the candidate's research profile and domain alignment.
ORA candidate may approach a Supervisor at KIET directly. Based on the Supervisor’s recommendation, the University will conduct the interview process, and upon selection, the same Supervisor shall be allocated.
Special information
- The Post-Doctoral Program is offered primarily in remote mode. However, highly motivated and eligible candidates may apply for a full-time fellowship, subject to availability and University norms.
- The duration of the Post-Doctoral Program shall be a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of 3 years.
- In the event of discontinuation of the Post-Doctoral Program (for Full Time Candidate), the candidate may be permitted to continue the post-docoral tenure in non-fellowship mode, subject to final approval by the University.
Chancellor's Fellowship Announcement
- Full-time PDF scholars will receive a monthly fellowship of ₹50,000 initially for 6 months, extendable by another 6 months based on performance.
- Selected candidates will also be engaged in an 8-hour per week teaching load within their respective department.
- There will be no scholarship for Part Time PDF scholars.
Fee Structure for Post-Doctorate Program
- Fee Structure for Post-Doctorate Program (Full time candidates):
A semester fee of ₹10,000 which will be deducted from the first month's fellowship. The remaining *40,000 from the first month's fellowship will be withheld and released upon successful completion of the program to prevent unannounced exit or unauthorized absence or any unethical/illegal behaviour.A teaching load of 8 Hrs. will be allocated to candidates enrolled in this category. - Fee Structure for Post-Doctorate Program (Part time candidates):
A Semester fee of ₹1000 - Tuition fees may be relaxed by up to 10% for Specially abled candidates, National and International Sports participants, Children of Padma Awards, Winners of bravery awards, Children of Indian Defence forces, Resident of North east states, siblings, alumni, Employees and family members of KIET employees.
KIET Research Point System
Throughout the fellowship, PDF candidate is expected to achieve a research output of at least 4 points per semester, as outlined in the university's research point system.
