IICC

The Industry Institute Collaboration Cell (IICC) at KIET Group of Institutions serves as a strategic bridge between academia and industry. It enables structured, sustainable partnerships that align institutional expertise, faculty, and student talent with the evolving needs of industry. Through impactful collaborations, IICC ensures industry access to innovation, research, and skilled graduates while enriching academic learning with practical exposure.

Our Role & Objectives

  • Facilitating Industry-Academia Partnerships: Building long-term collaborations with industries through MoUs, consultancy, internships, and joint research.
  • Supporting Centres of Excellence (CoEs): Coordinating and enhancing CoE activities to promote innovation, technical expertise, and interdisciplinary solutions.
  • Engaging Professors of Practice & Adjunct Faculty: Bringing industry leaders and experts into the academic ecosystem to mentor students, guide projects, and bridge theory with practice.
  • Student Empowerment: Promoting industry-oriented certifications, project-based learning, and exposure to real-world challenges from the very first year.
  • Faculty Development & Curriculum Integration: Encouraging faculty- industry interactions, training programs, and integrating industry-driven problem statements into the curriculum.
  • Alumni & Industry Networking: Strengthening student engagement and placements by leveraging alumni working in industry.

Key Activities

  • Hosting expert talks, workshops, seminars, and hackathons with industry leaders.
  • Coordinating industrial visits and internships to give students first-hand exposure.
  • Enabling interdisciplinary problem-solving through real-world challenges shared by industry partners.
  • Establishing Professor of Practice and Adjunct faculty mentorship for high-impact student projects.
  • Launching Certification modules and encouraging student participation in technical competitions.
