VPAKSH – The Official Dramatics Society of KIET is one of the most prestigious cultural clubs of the institute. It was founded with the vision to celebrate creativity, theatrical brilliance, and social impact. The society provides a dynamic stage for students to explore their potential in acting, direction, scriptwriting, stage management, music, props design, and public speaking.
At its core, VPAKSH believes in the transformative power of theatre. Theatre, for us, is not just entertainment—it is a powerful tool to raise awareness, challenge stereotypes, and inspire constructive change in society. Each performance is carefully curated to blend emotions, expressions, and impactful messages that leave a lasting impression on the audience.
Members of VPAKSH undergo a holistic journey: from conceptualizing original scripts to intense rehearsals and final execution on stage or in open public spaces. The society regularly performs street plays (Nukkad Nataks), stage plays, skits, monologues, rap battles, flash mobs, and mime performances. With every act, VPAKSH continues to build its legacy of professionalism, originality, and excellence, both on campus and at national-level fests across IITs and reputed institutions.

VPAKSH competed at IIT Kanpur’s prestigious annual fest Antaragni’23, presenting the skit “YUGAANT”. The play reflected on themes of human ambition, greed, and consequences of social apathy. Among stiff competition from across the country, our team proudly secured 6th position overall. The performance was lauded for its originality and emotional depth.
A special cultural performance was staged during the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh’s visit to KIET. The act conveyed the vibrancy of our college’s cultural life and showcased our respect for the guest of honor.
On Republic Day, VPAKSH delivered a powerful mime performance symbolizing unity, patriotism, and the sacrifices of freedom fighters. The silent act spoke volumes and received heartfelt applause from dignitaries and students alike.
