About IQAC

IQAC or Internal Quality Assurance Cell, is a mechanism established by educational institutions to ensure continuous quality improvement. It's a core component of NAAC accreditation, aiming to enhance the overall performance of the institution. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) recommends it for all accredited institutions as a post- accreditation quality sustenance measure. The KIET Group of Institutions has been accredited by National Assessment & Accreditation Council [NAAC] with CGPA of 3.32 on a four-point scale at 'A +' grade. As per the guidelines of NAAC, an Internal Quality Assurance Cell [IQAC] has been constituted under the Chairmanship of Director Academics, the KIET Group of Institutions as a post- accreditation quality sustenance and enhancement measure.

  • Functions as a central body for institutional quality enhancement and assurance.
  • Plays a proactive role in initiating, planning, and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensures continuous monitoring, assessment, and enhancement of academic and administrative performance.
  • Facilitates a culture of innovation, transparency, and participative decision-making.
  • Supports the institution in aligning with national and international quality benchmarks.
  • Maintains institutional data and documentation for quality assurance and future planning.

Objectives:

  • To promote measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.
  • To ensure the enhancement and integration of the teaching-learning process, evaluation, and research with innovative practices.
  • To promote collaboration among stakeholders (students, faculty, alumni, employers, etc.) for quality improvement and feedback mechanisms.
  • To build an organized methodology for documentation and internal communication to support evidence-based decision-making.
  • To prepare and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per NAAC requirements.
  • To facilitate periodic academic and administrative audits and follow-up actions for continuous improvement.
  • To encourage a learner-centric environment through faculty development and adoption of modern teaching methodologies.
  • To strengthen industry-institute interface, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship as part of quality initiatives.
  • To support the institution in accreditation, ranking, and benchmarking exercises.
IQAC Strategy:
  • Institutionalizing Quality Culture : Embed a culture of continuous improvement and academic excellence. Align with Vision-Mission-PEOs of the institution.
  • Systematic Documentation and Data Management : Develop robust mechanisms for collecting and analysing data (AISHE, NIRF, AQAR). Maintain dashboards and automated MIS for evidence-based reporting.
  • Curriculum Enrichment and Outcome-Based Education (OBE) : Regular revision and alignment of curriculum with NEP 2020. Promote interdisciplinary, industry-integrated, and skill-based courses.
  • Faculty Development & Pedagogical Innovation : Conduct regular FDPs, workshops, and seminars. Encourage ICT-enabled and experiential teaching-learning practices.
  • Research, Innovation & Extension : Promote sponsored projects, publications, patents, and consultancy. Strengthen incubation, startups, and community engagement programs.
  • Stakeholder Feedback System : Structured feedback collection from students, faculty, alumni, and employers. Action taken reports (ATRs) for feedback-based improvements.
  • Benchmarking & Best Practices : Adopt national/international benchmarks (NBA, QS I- GAUGE, NIRF). Institutionalize best practices in teaching, assessment, and student support.
  • Internal Academic & Administrative Audits : Conduct annual IQAC audits for quality assurance in departments and cells.
  • Student Progression & Support : Facilitate career counseling, placement training, competitive exam guidance. Provide financial aid, remedial classes, and mental health support.
  • Green Campus & Social Responsibility Initiatives : Implement environment-friendly practices (energy audit, waste management). Promote Swachhta, gender equity, outreach activities.

  • Documentation and Reporting : Systematically document various academic and administrative activities for continuous improvement and accreditation purposes.
  • Organizing Quality-related Workshops and Seminars : Conduct seminars, workshops, FDPs, and training sessions to promote quality awareness and capacity building.
  • Facilitating Accreditation and Ranking Processes : Support preparation and submission of data for NAAC, NBA, NIRF, QS I-GAUGE, and other rankings/accreditation frameworks.
  • Development of Quality Culture : Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous quality enhancement across all departments.
  • Academic and Administrative Audit (AAA) : Periodically conduct internal audits to evaluate academic and administrative performance and recommend improvements.
  • Preparation of AQAR and Annual Reports : Compile and submit the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) to NAAC and maintain transparency through periodic reporting.
