Centre for Automotive Mechatronics

The Centre for Automotive Mechatronics, established in 2018 through a collaboration between KIET Group of Institutions and Mercedes-Benz India Ltd., offers the prestigious Advanced Diploma in Automotive Mechatronics (ADAM). This one-year full-time program is designed for B.E./B.Tech and diploma holders in relevant engineering fields, addressing the growing demand for skilled professionals in the automotive sector. The curriculum blends Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics/Embedded Systems, Vehicle Systems, Diagnostics, Automotive Software, and Soft Skills, with training delivered through Mercedes-Benz India’s in-house methodology. Emphasizing hands-on learning, industry-standard tools, and exposure to premium vehicle systems, the Centre ensures graduates are aligned with global automotive standards. In addition, specialized modules for B.Tech Mechanical Engineering students focus on advanced automotive technologies and diagnostics, enhancing employability and preparing students to excel in the evolving mobility sector.


Centre of Advanced Woodworking (CAW)

The Centre of Advanced Woodworking (CAW) is a joint initiative of KIET Group of Institutions and BIESSE Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd., aimed at transforming the skill landscape of the woodworking industry. This Centre of Excellence is established to train young professionals and develop future entrepreneurs by introducing them to modern woodworking practices and smart factory concepts.
BIESSE Group, an Italy-based multinational with over five decades of expertise, is a global leader in woodworking technology. At CAW, we have IoT-enabled latest machines, Beam Saw (Selco SK3), 3-axis machine Rover Gold, Edge Bending Machine (Akron 1100J), and Latest Software’s B-Solid, B-Suite B-Cabinet, and Optimizing, etc. The above infrastructure allows us to design and fabricate any modular furniture.
At CAW, students gain hands-on training using industry-grade, fully automated woodworking machinery and cutting-edge software. This empowers them with practical skills and technical knowledge aligned with real-world demands, bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial expectations.


Centre of Supercomputing

Centre of Supercomputing at KIET, a dedicated space for high-performance computing and advanced AI exploration, designed to inculcate classroom knowledge with real-world applications in data science, deep learning, and generative AI.
Established by the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (AI) and CSE (AI & ML), this Centre gives students from all domains the opportunity to work on complex problems using cutting-edge tools powered by NVIDIA.
Training here is powered by the NVIDIA DGX A100 Supercomputer, a state-of-the-art system equipped with 8 high-speed GPUs, 320 GB of GPU memory, 128 CPU cores, and robust storage architecture. It supports leading frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, and JAX , making it ideal for large-scale AI model training and experimentation.
Students begin with concept-building sessions on AI models, followed by hands-on implementation of real-time projects in fields like computer vision, NLP, and generative AI. This platform allows them to explore, build, and test models that are scalable and deployment-ready.
The Centre regularly hosts workshops, hands-on bootcamps, and faculty development programs in collaboration with NVIDIA and industry partners , creating a dynamic learning environment that keeps pace with global tech trends.
Participation in ongoing research projects, internships through MoUs with startups like Metaspace and Epsilon, and support for patents and publications ensure students gain practical experience that reflects both academic and industrial value.
The Centre of Supercomputing empowers learners with exposure, confidence, and technical competence , helping them contribute meaningfully to the evolving world of Computing.


Space Technologies Centre of Excellence

The Space Technologies Centre of Excellence at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, serves as a dedicated hub for education, research, and innovation in space technology. Established within the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, the Centre actively promotes Government of India–endorsed space technology initiatives both on campus and in the wider community.

Key Collaborations :
  • MoU with Space Applications Centre, ISRO (Ahmedabad): Offers students internships and training under ISRO scientists.
  • Partnership with Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (Dehradun): Provides specialized courses, with KIET as the nodal evaluation and attendance centre for other institutions.

  • Student Nanosatellite Program: Developing a scientific payload under ISRO’s guidance.

KIET-NI LabVIEW Academy

Established in 2013 by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering in collaboration with National Instruments India, theKIET-NI LabVIEW Academy empowers students with industry-ready skills through advanced tools and international certification.
Recognized as an authorized training center for Certified LabVIEW Associate Developer (CLAD) , the academy provides students and faculty with access to hands-on practice with cutting-edge tools, including MyDAQ, MyRIO, sbRIO, WSN modules, biomedical sensors, ELVIS, and USRP RIO.
Students are doing innovative projects like the Aadhaar Linked Automatic Health Care Machine, Automatic Waste Collector, and robotics prototypes using NI platform, under guidance of experienced faculty members, and these initiatives are encouraging students to participate in various national-level competitions and earn accolades through regular Employability Enhancement Programs, summer training, and faculty development workshops, the LabVIEW Academy continues to build confidence and technical strength among aspiring engineers. Henceforth COE is adding the real value to shape their careers as per the modern industry demand.

Centre of Excellence in Power Semiconductor Devices

Established on 22nd February 2024 under Mitsubishi Electric India’s CSR initiative, this Centre—set up by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at KIET—serves as a hub for advanced training and practical learning in power electronics and semiconductor devices.

Key Features :
  • Industry Partnership: Formal MoU with Mitsubishi Electric India for technical training, knowledge exchange, and real-world application exposure.
  • State-of-the-Art Infrastructure: Equipped with EVA20-LDIP evaluation boards, high-performance IGBT modules (up to 600A, 1700V), and industry-standard tools for switching analysis, simulation, PCB design, and datasheet interpretation.
  • Hands-On Learning: Practical training on SCRs, TRIACs, Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, and other key semiconductor devices.
Skill Development Initiatives :

The Centre has introduced a 30-hour Industry Readiness Skill Program covering:

The Research & Product Development Centre, established by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering at KIET, works with MBS India to design, test, and develop biomedical devices that address real healthcare needs.

Centre of Advanced VLSI Design

The Centre of Advanced VLSI Design at KIET Group of Institutions, established under the Cadence University Program, is dedicated to strengthening education, research, and practical skill development in Very Large Scale Integration.
The centre features a dedicated VLSI design lab with high-performance systems and the complete Cadence tool suite, supporting both front-end design and back-end verification tasks.
In collaboration with Entuple Technologies, the centre conducts hands-on training, technical workshops, and internship opportunities to align students with industry practices.
The recent initiatives include a 30-hour skill foundation program in digital VLSI design, Industry Readiness Skill classes in analog circuit design, and dedicated hands-on training sessions for faculty members.
Looking ahead, the centre plans to deliver professional elective courses through industry experts, launch advanced certification programs in digital and analog design, and organise faculty development programs to strengthen EDA knowledge and project mentoring skills.
By bridging academics with real-world demands, the centre prepares students and faculty to contribute meaningfully to the evolving semiconductor industry. We are enabling students to turn knowledge into real-world designs that strengthen the semiconductor ecosystem.


Centre of Excellence in Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM)

The Centre of Excellence in Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) at KIET Group of Institutions is equipped with state-of-the-art industrial machinery, including a Vertical Machining Center (JYOTI PX-40) and a CNC Lathe (JYOTI DX-135). This facility offers hands-on training to students, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practice.
Throughout the year, the Centre conducts specialized certification programs where students gain practical exposure in CNC programming, machine setup, workpiece alignment, tool offsetting, automatic tool changers (ATCs), and controller operations on Siemens and Fanuc systems. These short-term courses provide an excellent platform for students to acquire industry-relevant skills and stay updated with the latest advancements in Computer-Aided Manufacturing technologies.

The Centre of Excellence of CIF Laboratory encompasses highly sophisticated instruments like HPLC Binary gradient Pump and Single isocratic Pump with Variable wavelength UV-Visible Detector including Empower QS Software (Waters), Fourier Transformation IR Spectrophotometer (Shimadzu FT-IR Affinity-1), UV-Visible Spectrophotometer (Shimadzu-1900i, 1800, 1700), Semi Auto Analyzer (Chemtouch ERBA), Gas Chromatographic System (Shimadzu GC-2010 plus), Atomic Absorption Spectrometer (AAS -Motras), Digital Filter Fluorimeter (Biogen), Digital High Precision Analytical balance-1mg, 10mg sensitivity (Shimadzu, Mettler Toledo), Rheometer (Brook Field), Deep freezer (-550 c), Gel electrophoresis Assembly (Gene i), Paper Electrophoresis Assembly (Gene i), Digital Colorimeter (Biogen), Microprocessor controlled pH meter & Conductivity meter (Decibel), Digital Nepheloturbidimeter, etc.
Some of the projects carried out in C.I.F Laboratory were summarized below:

  • Analytical method development & Validation of active pharmaceutical ingredients from bulk drugs & dosage forms
  • Analytical method development for new drugs and small chemical entities.
  • Activity guided isolation of chemical constituents using Column chromatography and further characterization from indigenous medicinal plants using various spectroscopic techniques such as IR, NMR and MS.
  • Physico-chemical characterization of Functional group of drug molecules and Drug interaction studies involving polymers and other drugs using FT-IR spectral analysis.
  • Analysis of various biochemical parameters such as SGOT, SGPT, ALP, Glucose, Total Protein, Creatinine, Bilirubin, cholesterol in drug samples, environmental samples and body fluids (Blood and Urine) using Semi-auto analyser.
  • Accurate identification of melting point in drug samples & synthesized moieties using Digital Stanford Research System (SRS) Melting point apparatus.
  • Assay of various drugs and their excipients using various techniques viz., UV spectrophotometry, Fluorimetry and Nepheloturbidimetry.
  • Multicomponent drug analysis using HPLC and UV-Visible spectrometry.
  • Analysis of Lipophilic and Hydrophilic drugs using HPLC.
  • Analysis of Volatile and Semi-volatile components from Synthetic Drugs and Plant constituents using Gas Chromatography technique.
  • Metal Elemental analysis of Na, K, Se, Ni, Pb, Cd, As, Sb from phyto samples and synthetic samples by Atomic Absorption spectrometer (AAS).

  • AI Integrated Molecular Docking Strategy for Predicting Anti-Tubercular Peptidomimetics against DprE-1 using In-vitro, In-vivo model & it’s reasonable Clinical Potency.
  • Docking Cum AI Approach, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Anti-Mycobacterial Peptide Based Scaffolds Against Target Glcnac-1-P Transferase Using Versa Trek Automated Microbial Detection System with Clinical Dose Correlation
  • Investigating the neuroprotective potential of herbal formulation in scopolamine induced amnesia using Neuro Behavioural Tracking System.
  • Exploration of neuroprotective potential of endocannabinoid receptor agonist anandamide against intracerebroventricular (ICV) Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neurobehavioral anomalies (Stereotaxic apparatus was used in ICV injection)
  • Analysis of Complete blood count (CBC) that includes estimation of RBC count, Hb, platelets, TLC, neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes using Cell Analyzer while doing the project on “Investigation of anti-hemorrhoidal potential of the herbal extracts in Wistar rats.
  • Evaluation of anti-inflammatory activity of herbal extracts/ phytoconstituent-based formulation against FCA induced Rheumatoid Arthritis with the help of Digital Plethysmometer.
  • Estimation of cytokines like TNF-α, IL-6, IL-1, anti-oxidant parameters like GSH, anti-diabetic biomarkers like estimation of Insulin by ELISA in various metabolic research and anti-inflammatory studies.
  • Use of Cooling centrifuge for separation of serum from the blood for estimation of liver, kidney biomarkers.
  • In-vivo evaluation of herbal extract in the treatment of Cardiomyopathy (Non-Invasive blood pressure equipment was used for estimating the blood pressure, heart rate and electrophysiological changes)
  • Visualization of pathological changes in the tissues of diseased group and treated groups animals using Fluorescence microscope like evaluation of anticancer activity by studying pathological changes in diseased and treated cells in skin carcinoma.
  • DNA, RNA and protein estimation using Western Blot with Gel documentation.
  • Conduction of bioassays in isolated tissues using Automatic organ bath.

Molecular Pharmaceutics Laboratory including Centre of excellence in Krismatic Natural Product Development & Training Centre

Molecular Pharmaceutics Laboratory including Centre of excellence in Krismatic Natural Product Development & Training Centre are specialized research and training facilities devoted to the scientific comprehension and use of novel drug delivery systems, dosage form design, and the creation of novel medications and formulations, especially those originating from natural sources respectively. Molecular Pharmaceutics Laboratory including Centre of excellence in Krismatic Natural Product Development & Training Centre encompasses sophisticated instruments like Fluidised Bed Processor (Cronimach), Nanosizer (Probe Sonicator MTS 750 Digital), Tablet Dissolution test apparatus multi-station (Lab India), All Purpose Instrument (Orchid Scientific), Automatic Tablet Compression Machine (Mini Proton Engineers), Tablet Punching Machine (Multi tooling) (Cronimach), Tensile Strength Tester, Tray Dryer, Sonicator, Rheometer (Brook field), supporting facility for equipment filling, labelling and packaging, Franz diffusion cell apparatus etc.

Molecular Pharmaceutics Laboratory is to bridge the gap between basic science and practical drug development, providing a molecular basis for designing better and more effective medicines. The research facility focuses on advanced scientific investigations. The key features of a research lab equipped for the formulation and evaluation of various dosage forms like conventional dosage forms (tablets, capsules etc.) as well as novel drug delivery systems (nanoparticles, and other nano based pharmaceutical products), helps to understand the formulation science and release patterns of developed drug delivery systems. The molecular pharmaceutics research facility mainly focuses on research and development:

  • Research on Novel compounds: Make an investment in studies to find and describe novel and potent herbal compounds for use in cosmetic products.
  • Sustainable purchasing: Give ethical and ecologically conscious methods first priority when purchasing raw materials.
  • Product Innovation: Create novel nano-formulations or targeted delivery systems with distinctive features and compositions.
  • Cooperation: To promote innovation and information sharing, cooperate with academic institutions and research centers.

The centre of Excellence (COE) in Krismatic Natural Product Development & Training Centre aims to foster innovation, research, and skill development in the field of natural product development, potentially involving collaborations between research institutions, industry partners, and training centers. The various key aspects of the facilities are:

  • Natural product focus: The centre focuses on the development and research of products derived from natural sources, aligning with the specialization of Krismatic Naturals.
  • Training and skill development: The COE offers training components to equip individuals with the necessary skills for research, development, and potentially, commercialization of natural products.
  • Potential for collaboration: The centre likely involves partnerships between research institutions, industries, and training centers, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for natural product innovation.
  • Innovation and research: It aims to promote innovation in natural product development and conduct research in related fields.
  • Potential for commercialization: The COE also involve efforts to translate research findings into viable business proposals or solutions.

The Centre of Excellence in Krismatic Natural Product Development & Training Center is essentially a platform created to promote the development of natural products through targeted research, training, and possible commercialization initiatives, possibly utilizing partnerships and knowledge from different organizations and sectors.


Tech Mahindra Centre of Excellence

The Tech Mahindra Centre of Excellence at KIET Group of Institutions, Ghaziabad, established within the Department of Information Technology, is an industry–academia initiative focused on employability enhancement. It provides training to students selected by Tech Mahindra, ensuring their skills align with current industry demands.

  • Student Selection: In 2024–25, 24 students from B.Tech and MCA programs were selected through campus recruitment.
  • Industry-Designed Curriculum: Developed in collaboration with Tech Mahindra to meet real-world requirements.
